Have gardening questions? Need expert advice on soil health, plant selection, or garden design? Join the Ask a Master Gardener (AaMG) program at Shelby Bottoms Nature Center for a face-to-face opportunity to get science-based, research-backed gardening guidance from trained Master Gardener volunteers.
At these events, volunteers set up an information table where visitors can ask questions, receive educational materials, and discuss their gardening challenges. Whether you're a beginner looking for advice on starting a vegetable garden or a seasoned grower troubleshooting plant health issues, our Master Gardeners are here to help!
The Ask a Master Gardener program isn’t just about answering questions—it’s about fostering a love for gardening in our community. By partnering with local parks and organizations, the program brings valuable horticultural education to gardeners of all backgrounds. Plans are underway to expand to even more locations, reinforcing our mission to make expert gardening advice accessible to all.
