This virtual class is designed for gardeners and landscape professionals interested in responsible gardening using native plants.

The class will focus on how soil and water interactions lay the foundation for supporting a functional, healthy landscape. We will frame our conversation around the five soil forming factors of parent material, climate, biota, topography, and time, and take a look at how each of these is at work in our landscape. We will use technology tools but also simply get our hands dirty to help uncover information that will help in management decisions.

The class is a CORE class for the Certificate in Native Plants program. One does not need to be pursuing the Certificate in order to attend the class.

Class Fee:
$45 - Members of Wild Ones, Reflection Riding, and/or TN Native Plant Society
$55 - Non-Members

Advance registration is required. The Zoom meeting login information will be sent to registrants in advance of the class.

The class will begin at 9:00am EST and conclude at 3:30pm EST.
