Sustainable in the CIty: Rooting for Sustainability

Event by Nashville Metro Water Services and Urban Green Lab

Trees provide us with a nice spot of shade, fresh air, and everyday beauty, but they are also a critical piece of the puzzle for any city's sustainability efforts. As we grow here in Nashville, our canopy may be changing but there is work being done to keep trees thriving in our city in the face of continued growth.

Join us for a discussion with Meg Morgan, Root Nashville's Campaign Manager, Jennifer Smith, Metro Nashville's horticulturist, and Meitra Aycock, Metro Beautification and Environment Commissioner, where we will discuss the need for tree planting, the ins and outs of Metro’s tree bank program, and hear what people and organizations are doing to keep us rooted in sustainability.

This event is free and open to the public.
