Mission

Our mission is to promote gardening and home horticulture through education, environmental stewardship, and volunteerism.

Community Impact

In 2015, our volunteers contributed a total of 10,783 hours of volunteer service toward community service and education projects in Nashville and Davidson County with an in-kind value of more than $248,770.

Meetings

Master Gardeners of Davidson County meets at 6:30pm on the second Thursday of every month at Crievewood Baptist Church, 480 Hogan Rd, Nashville, TN 37220. 

Monthly meetings are not held during:

  • April:  The monthly meeting will be held at the Ed Jones Auditorium on the Ellington Agricultural Center campus.
  • July: in lieu of the monthly meeting, MGDC travels to Summer Celebration in Jackson, Tennessee hosted by the Madison County Master Gardeners. 

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, all MGDC meetings and activities will be suspended when MNPS closes.
